No sound on new rig, but sound detected

Hey,

Just assembled a new rig and I've no sound. It is however detected in Sound in the control panel and on he volume slider on the taskbar.
Have an Asrock X68 Extreme 4 board with an asus xonar d2x soundcard and a raven3 case. None of the jacks work and I've tested the speakers and headphones seperately.

Any ideas?

Have you got it set to digital output at all in Windows sound properties? It should be set to analogue, probably called Xonar D2X speakers.

have you disabled onbord sound yet?

Shouldn't need to disable onboard sound really. I've used many a sound card along side onboard audio over the years. It's a possibility though.

Alright I've got the onboard sound working at least. Still trying the soundcard.
