I've just re-installed Vista and I've got no sound! It was working fine before in Vista but I needed to install it on a different hard drive and now there's no sound
. If I put the mouse over the speaker in the system tray it says 'No audio ouput device is installed'. I installed vista in exactly the same way as I did before, i've run windows update and its updated several things but nothing related to sound.
I looked in the device manager, and there are there are the little warning signs next to the following in the 'Other Devices Section':
-Linksys Wireless card (which i know doesn't work
-Multimedia Audio Controller
-Unkown Device
I dont think this came up before but I cant see how it's naffed it up when I haven't installed anything apart from windows updates
. Is there anything I can do bar a fresh install?
