No Sound When Streaming Prime To Amp Via HDMI

I tried to watch the Grand Tour on Amazon Prime the other day, but I can only get sound when I use my TV's speakers and not my amp.
TV = LG. Amp = Denon.

I can get sound from all the other TV's streaming services via the amp, but not Prime.
I've tried 4 other HDMI cables, but the best I can get is about 1/4 second of sound and nothing for another 5 to 10 seconds.

I've also tried an Optical Cable, that does work without issues.
But that setup it's ideal, as I also need to connect a computer which needs HDMI (from the amp to TV).
I'd have to keep swapping cables in and out, as leaving both connected doesn't seem to work.

Does anyone else have a problem with Prime and HDMI cables to an amp?
Maybe it's some type of anti copyright measure?

Thank you :)

I read this as the OP is using the TV app for Amazon Video so 4K compatibility and HDCP doesn’t come into the equation.

I don’t have an answer for the OP I’m afraid. Very strange that all other apps work fine, and that you get sound via the optical cable. I’d check the Amazon Video settings and ensure it’s not trying to output some incompatible sound format. If you can change it to basic stereo then do so and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you all for your help :)

The problem turned out to be a setting on the LG TV.
In the Sound Settings - Audio Out (Optical/HDMI Arc).
The Digital Sound Out setting was set to Auto. If I set it to PCM, if now get sound from Amazon Prime.
