No speech in games :(

I´m having a problem with a few games. In fact in every game I´ve installed so far, excluding CoH.

The problem is:

I hear all the sounds and that, but I hear no speech at all! Example: when I hit someone in (example) Oblivion, he/she should scream or yell. Well it ain´t happening. I also have this on GRAW and Dark Messiah of Might and magic.

I am using the Gigabyte DS3 onboard sounds. And I also have this on my other comp which is a soundblaster.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Ps. I use Vista x86 (32bit)

Rawr you have your soundcard set to 5.1 sound but you only have 4.1/2.1/2.0 speakers plugged in?

sounds like the above ^

speech normally comes out of the centre speaker, so if you have a centre speaker... it aint working, or if you havnt got a centre speaker... you aint got it set up right

Cant really seem to track it

should be in your windows sound settings in the control panel, and/or the control software that came with your mobo/soundcard.
