I have been told by a friend that there is a few roads in Britain with no speed limits, but have chevrons in place to keep your distance.

I didn't believe this at first but remembered a road that me and my brother went down with chevrons, and i don't remember seeing any signs for speed whatsoever, there wasn't even a "National Speed Limit" sign in place.

Is this the truth? Anyone got any facts?

Thanks,

Andy

Chevrons are normally on the motorway. There's never speed limit signs on the motorway (except in areas where the speed limit is reduced) because the default speed is 70.

This was on an A road towards watford.
