No temp sensor on 8800GT's?

A friend of mine has a 8800GTX and he can monitor the temps on his gfx card.

I have an Asus 8800GT and I cannot. Is that normal and just because it's a cheaper card, or is it because they don't run as hot and don't need it? Mine has the twin slot cooler that was fitted to the later cards.

Thanks chap, that thread explains the issue. Unfortunately the link for the software doesn't work but I'll go hunt that one down
