No Valid System Disk

Hey!

(Sorry Mods if in the wrong section)

Basically a m8 is having a serious problem installing Vista and XP,

Spec

C2D E6300
ATI X1600
P5B Deluxe
WD 160GB SE

He gets there’s 'No Valid System Disk' on trying to install both operating systems :confused:

they see the HDD, it’s fully formatted and checked.

Any Ideas? Oh! He’s tried all the sata ports.

jumpers in the right position on the drive ?

tried another sata cable ?

I don’t think there’s a jumper on the Sata HDD, only one to limit the speed.

Hmm I don’t believe he’s checked another cable, that looks like the next step then

normally sata drives only need the sata drivers for raid, has he installed an os before to this drive/mobo without the drivers ?

Yes XP SP2, another cable hasnt worked :confused:
