Hi,

I turned on my PC this morning to be greeted by.....well nothing no video signal detected by my monitor.

I've confirmed the monitor / cable is is working, tried different connection types (HDMI, DVI, VGA).

I've removed the NV 970 GTX and tried with the onboard GFX, I've reset the CMOS to ensure it defaulted back to on board gfx. I've disconnected everything from the mobo apart from fans.

Still nothing I get lights and FAN working but no output. I get no bleep codes (No sure I have an on board speaker) and tried removing the 2 x RAM modules and booting without and with just one.

Spec - Gigabyte Gaming 3 Z97 Mobo, 2 x 4GB Corsair RAM, Corsair CS650M PSU, MSI NV 970 GTX, Intel i5 4670k

Any ideas what to try next. I'm reluctant to buy a new Mobo in case the PSU is at fault and pops the new one. We did have power cuts in the town yesterday but we didn't lose power and the PC was plugged into a surge protector anyway.

Thanks

So I took a guess and grabbed a replacement PSU at lunch. Initially it didn't make a difference but I decided to re seat everything again and after pulling the RAM it booted. On power down however it then had the same problem.

Now if I restart the box it's fine but if I do a cold boot it needs the memory modules taken out and put back in again to boot??? Same slots just out and in. I've run a memory test and get no errors what could be causing this? Has the old PSU caused damage to the DIMM sockets?!?!? Proper confused lol

Thanks
