Hi all

Trying to fix my Parents PC which has onboard graphics. The motherboard in question is an Asus M2N-MX SE.

The monitor comes on ok and gets as far as the windows splash screen (Win XP) and then goes blank with a message saying 'No Video Signal-check cable'. I have tried a different cable, and also tried a PCI-E Graphics card but it still gives the same error. Does it sound like the board is knackered ?

cheers

Can you try a fresh install just in case the operating has become corrupt.
Also can you get into safe mode.

Hi

Yeah tried the safe mode route and also a different monitor but still the same.
They have decided that it's now time for an upgrade, so that gives me something else to do :D

cheers
