HA! I'm moving to C2D soon and in the past I have always gone with corsair RAM and I'm thinkign about a change this time, but after reading 4 or 5 threads on here about how rubbish the GeiL ram is and how it wont overclock or wont even boot with 4-4-4-12 etc I'm concidering something else

GeiL seemed like a bargain, 2gig for £80 ish wow!....but I can see why tis so cheap if it just doesn't do anything people want

Hi there

I got mine upto 1150MHz, so guess it worked too. :)

OcUK shipped something daft like 500 kits before the weekend too.

Facts are that when you sell a lot of something increases the chances of people getting issues and fact also is that whenever someone has issues they always post saying so. However when a person buys something and it works as intended they very rarely post to say its workin.

If the memory was not good OcUK simply would not sell it, however its RMA rate is actually lower than that of Corsair's for us so that goes to say that it must indeed be pretty half decent RAM. :)

Geil customer support is about as existant as flying pigs though :)

Takes them 3days to email you back...

Mine works. Always has done.

Same here. ^^

Although I replaced them for the superior clocking Cellshock 6400, the Geil worked flawlessly at speeds of 890Mhz/4.4.4.12 combined with a P5B-D. I paid £170 at the time as well.
