Shame to see Letterman go. He was good friends with Warren Zevon and even provided backing vocals on one of my favourite songs.

Not sure how Colbert will work this late show gig though. Will he break character, in which case will it cheapen The Colbert Report? :/

Well I doubt he's still going to do The Colbert Report as well.

He's a very sharp, funny guy but he is not a good interviewer and say what you like about Letterman, he was damn fine at interviewing his guests. I'd still watch it though, Colbert is rad.

Are there interviews out of character? I'd say it was hard to say how good of an interviewer he was when interrupting and mocking the people he's interviewing is part of his shtick.
