just building system on an Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 and noticed there's no connector on the mobo for the 3 pin lead coming out of the psu (the one with a blue and black wires) - i'm assuming this is for the psu fan?

there's a spare connector on the mobo for a chassis fan - can the psu fan be attached there? if not can it be left un-attached?

psu is a 450W Smart Power from the Sonata II

advice mucho appreciated :)

By the sounds of it, its the cable that comes from the PSU fans, it doesn't power them, it just allows the mobo to read the RPM they're spinning at, so you can plug it in to the mobo if thats important to you, or leave it.
