thought i would strip the engine on my 2001 hornet 600 after its been sitting for a couple of years no wonder it did not start

not sure i had the manifold off with rags in the holes only thing i can think of is some water got in there some how
i have another 2 engines so going to over haul one of them to put in

got the engine back in today just waiting for a gasket b4 i can start it should be here tomorrow

to be honest its not that hard as long as you can get the engine to the right hight it just slides in from the right side

its getting there its been off the road for 2 years i blew the engine then bought another one but did not fit it for a year then it did not start so left it for another 6 months then last month was when i found it had seized so rebuilt the first engine so fingers crossed lol

the forks are just sprayed but i had the swinging arm and rearset brackets powdercoated

Got it started on tuesday seems to be running ok just a little blow from the headers just need to get some new nuts for the headers akso the fuel tap did not seem to work so had to use a funnel for the engine test
Just sorted the tap tonight so nearly there now
