Hi, this thread is going to be longish and would be gratefull if any advice/opinions could be given.
Xbox live had been working fine for 5 weeks then.....
Tuesday 25th of April i changed my gamertag using the microsoft credits which i had bought, the next day i come home from work and turn my xbox on for a game of BF2 demo on live and my xbox wouldn't log on so i give microsoft a call.
The guy was completely useless telling me i had to log onto my hotmail email account and link the gamertag with my email account to get it working again, i put the phone down, logged onto my hotmail and then found there was no option.
The next day (Thursday 27th April) I give them a call again, the guy tells me that there are no technical guys in after 5pm and this call was just after 5pm so call back in the morning. Morning comes and a speak to a women call Ruth, see was great to be honest, went through a few things with me and then did the network checks on my xbox and told me to disable UPNP on my router to get the NAT to come up as open (which it did) still no joy after a hour of fiddling my end, she dicided it was a microsoft side problem and esculated the case.
I leave it over the bank hliday weekend as no one technincal is in and call on the Tuesday after asking what they are doing about it and they tell me the case has been esculated and theres nothing else that can be done, i phoned thursday and got the same answer. Friday i phone up pretty miffed asking to speak to someone with a bit of authority, eventually i spoke to a supervisor, he said that my case has been reported to Xbox USA and they are waiting for them to reset my account!
2 Weeks without live! i'm getting really miffed about it and dont seem to be able to do anything at all.
What should i do? Leave it and wait or what else can i do? anyone here had a similar problem?
