Hi,

I've currently got a Noctua D14 on my i7 930. Unfortunately it looks my board or CPU is on it's way out (constant lockups, tried different RAM can't see any bent pins, reseated the CPU) so looking to buy an i7 4790K and UD3-BK.

I can't find any attachments that came with this cooler, so not sure if the mount I have on the 1366 will go straight on the 1150 (it has two different sets of holes on the bracket) or if I need to find some other bits.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks for any help.

Thanks mate.

I found the manual online and it looks like the bracket that I have might fit. Great to know that if it doesn't I can get another.

Hopefully my mobo will be here tomorrow, and I'll see what happens :)

Easy way to tell is look at the brackets that go on top of motherboard. The original 1366 mount has one hole in them and later universal mount has a series of connected holes making a slot.

aha, thanks mate, all my searching and I didn't come across that post!

I think I might be ok pretty sure I've got the mount with the 3 holes (I only noticed two when I took it off the other day, but it could have been the 3 as they are next to each other), this is going to be the first upgrade I've ever done where I can reuse the cooler!

Just an update to say that I had the 3 in one mount, and it went straight on the new board, thanks for the help guys. :)
