Hello, I have a 3900x in the lian li o11 dynamic xl and am currently using the wraith prism that came with the CPU. However, it is making a really annoying noise/whine, is really loud when it ramps up and i am not that keen on it's look. I have had a look around to try and find a replacement, and noticed the above three seem to be very highly recommened.

Idealy I would like one thats black (am currently swaying towards the mugen 5 black as it seems better value for money but not sure it is in stock yet). Due to the size of my case however, I think i have room for any of the three, so what would people recommened?

I bought the older but very similar NH-D14 for my 3570K and it's now on my 3900X (after Noctua sent me the free AM4 mounting hardware). Temperatures are fine and it's nice and quiet. I'd happily give them my money again if I need a new cooler.

3900X isn't any volcanic hot CPU like Intels under load.
So Mugen 5 would do well for its reasonable price.

Here in Finland one of the biggest PC shops has big stocks of every Mugen 5 variant.
So unless Coronavirus has messed deliveries since few weeks ago Mugen 5 Blacks should be decently available.

Running a DRPro4 cooler on my 3900X decent temps, and very quiet, its the GPU that ramps up on mne that you can hear fairly audibly under load.

I think all are great choices, you can't go wrong!

DRP4 probably looks the best but is meant to be a bit of a faff to install compared to the other two, unless they've changed it recently.
Mugen 5 will be compatible with most Mobos and won't have any clearance issues with RAM. Also probably best value for money.
Noctua has a sick warranty (6 years) and awesome fans!

I think with your case you're better off getting the DRP4 or D15 just because you've got the space for them. What's the rest of your build look like, or you not that fussed about aesthetics?
