I was using a Noctua NH-C12P with my socket 775 motherboard and it served me quite well. I bought a socket 1155 motherboard, an Ivy Bridge CPU and some ram and got a free NM-13 kit from Noctua that makes my cooler compatible with socket 1155 mobos.

Yesterday l started buildinng my new PC. To my horror the NM-13 kit had some parts missing and since l purchased an OEM CPU now l am stuck. Seems like l need to shell out big bucks on a new cooler or wait for 2-3 weeks for a new kit to arrive.

Damn you Noctua.

Sorry about your problem and understand your frustration... but Noctua gave you a FREE kit and somehow pieces are missing. I'm sure Noctua didn't intentionally send you a kit with missing pieces.

How long have you had your FREE kit? You could have checked it when they GAVE it to you to make sure it was complete.

Reminds me of old saying "Don't kick a gift horse in the mouth."

I'd rather kick intel and mobo makers for making a different layout for the cooler.

I have an LGA1366 board, but also with socket 775 holes :D.
I picked a normal Asus P6T over a P6T Deluxe for this reason mainly ( and the fact that I have a triple slot GPU cooler, and it covered the only PCI slot on the deluxe), my board has holes for both LGA1366 and LGA775 coolers, unlike the deluxe version :(.

The 775 coolers physically fit over the new sockets bar the holes locations, I see no real reason why they have made new s1155 and 1366 dimensions than for S775 coolers, well except perhaps for them wanting to make more money .

Email Noctua. Their customer services and support is great, they sent me a replacement set of spring screws when I managed to lose one. Explain what's happened and see what comes of it. Worth trying before you go out for another cooler.

As above, just fire them an email and generally they send stuff out very quickly. By the time you get a new cooler, you could have gotten the kit from Noctua.

Now l will be forced to use whatever l can find in Cyprus. Oh the horror!

Yeah, must be tough living in paradise.:D

Seriously, contact Noctua and very nicely explain the problem and ask (very nicely) if you pay post would they please express post the missing pieces. It's amazing what a little honey does :D

Just a though, but what exactly is missing? I have complete kit here and could possible send you what you are missing.

That is very nice of you but it won't be needed. I contacted Noctua and they will be sending me the missing parts. Until then l will have to make due with a crappy cooler.

With any luck you will have them by the weekend. It took 4 days for me in UK... and paradise.. I mean Cyprus... is closer ;)

I was contacted by Noctua today informing me that they are sending me the missing parts :)

Very good customer service by Noctua but not excellent. That would require the employee that didn't put all the parts in the kit to commit seppuku and then Noctua post it on Youtube :p

Naah. Should be the factory employee who packaged it being burned at the stake. :D
Wonder if they do next day delivery. Please let us know when it arrives.
