noctua i7 cpu cooler thermal paste

Hi guys built a i7 rig yesterday but cpu is a bit hot for me at stock on retail heatsink going to be getting the noctua nh-u12p is the thermal paste it comes with good? of get artic silver stuff instead?

Get yourself a big tube of AS5 then you'll be good for future block changes.

The arctic mx2 stuff is supposedly the best out there and its cheaper than the as5. Although, if you're getting the Noctua cooler anyway, the thermal paste is pretty good still. If I remember correctly, it was better than the as5.

The Noctua paste is as good if not better than the AS5 stuff. Let's be honest though...we're not talking by much. If I already had the Noctua paste I wouldn't bother buying anything else though as the difference is too minimal. The Noctua tim is fine stuff. Check out some reviews of it.
