I've fitted one to my Asus P5N-E Sli board but didn't get a chance to see the temperatures from it.
It was quite quick and easy to fix though and as long as you have the room you can turn it to face in almost any direction. Pretty simple to add an 80mm fan to as well for extra cooling.
I also fitted one of these coolers to my P5N-e SLi on Friday evening. It wasnt to bad the only thing that made it harder for me was the fact that I had to put it at a horizontal angle to give enough room for my Arctic 7 cooler.
It certanly doesn't get as hot to the touch as the old stock NB cooler, but I dont have anything to do a proper temp measure with.
Pushed my old DS3 to 470mhz fsb with one fitted. Was quite warm to the touch but certainly not hot and that was passive.
Easy to fit and very stable once clipped on! Tried other coolers in the past and this one rates as the best i've used. Fitting it to my 680i in the next few days!
