Hi guys, i want to purchase the NH-d14 as its a beast :D.

My case is the Antec VSK-2000.

I currently have the Akasa venom ak ccx-4002hp, it fits with quite a small amount of space from the side of my case.

Would the dh-14 fit in my case or not?

Im a newb btw.

Thx for your help.

Thanks a lot for the link :). It doesn't quiet clarify if it will fit or not.

The think is, the dimensions of my current heatsink says it is 160mm, which is what the dh-14 is stated to be, but tbh it looks WAY bigger :/ and the fan also pops out over the top of the heatsink on the dh-14. Am I right?

Also I was lookin at the thermalright silver arrow. Does anyone know if this is smaller then the dh-14 height wise, from the CPU to the edge of the case.

Any help is appreciated.

Depends on the width of the case.

Best way would be to measure it if you can

get a piece of card and cut it 160mm, then sit it on your mobo, does the side close?
i have a d14 in my case and the max cooler height is 160mm and it fits (barely)
you may have to lower the fans as low as they can

I think he means how wide is the case? (actually I don't think, his question and wording is pretty straight forward)

Or can you measure from approximately where the CPU is to the side panel?

If the Akasa is 160mm tall and can fit, then so will the Noctua. I can't believe any case manufacturers these days would make a case that couldn't fit these high end coolers.

mine did ;)
i have a NZXT Hades, with the big 200mm side fan.

"CPU Heatsink clearance: 131.5mm w/ 200mm fan, 165mm w/o side fan installed."

my side fan is now mounted on the outside ;)

it is aye, looks awesome in the case imo.

I want a new exhuast fan for my case.

Should it always usually be a 1850 rpm fan as the exhaust?

I have 2 1450 rpm Gentle typhoons for the intake at the front.

Would a 1350 be alright for the exhaust too?
