Noctua NH-D14 clearance

The info is not out there officially which is bad in itself but it would seem it has around 168mm clearance but to make sure why don't you measure out say 165mm bit of wood or wire or whatever and stick it in the case and see if the side panel fits on you only need 160mm but I would say 165mm to be safe the 140mm fan sticks out a tad plus you might want to add 150mm fans later

It should fit without issues. The case width is the same as my shinobi (also looks pretty similar lol) which happily houses the very similarly sized K2.

I should've got the Midgard II as well... Much better features and airflow for a tenner more. Damn my cheapness.

Thanks for the quick replies. Now need to look a wire that is 165mm long.

@ Uncle Petey was going to get the shinobi myself but the xigmatek was on offer so i thought why not. Happy with it so far

Nice, wish I'd done the same...

Looking at a 500R or 410 now. Really tempted by the £50 B-grade black/orange NZXT 410 with a possibly scratched window because I'm a cheap ******* :D

can't remember where but I read a comparison between the NZXT 410, 300R, and the Xigmatek Midgard II and the Xigmatek ranked higher than the 410 in terms of cooling

Not that keen on the 410 tbh. So it's just as well :D

500R is probably the one for me.
Now that I've switched from a rear exhuasting 5870 to an OC'd 7950 that dumps pretty hot air into the case, the big side fan on the 500R would really come in useful too.

The Shinobi side panel stays off at the moment as it gets pretty toasty in there now.
