My new OCUK Build arrived on Friday morning. It is looking Good & Tidy. Looks GREAT! Thank You OCUK & Oliver..
When I asked in my thread about Coolers I was told that the 'Noctua NH-D15 Dual Air Cooler' was a great cooler.
Everywhere I investigated said it was Excellent, so I had that in my build....NO ONE said how large it was, it is HUGE!
It covers up the RAM slots, the nvme 1tb hdd, and another nvme slot. If I had known that I would have had a Liquid Cooler instead.
I have been told I can send it back to have it changed if I so wish...That is Excellent of OCUK to say that.

How many of you have this GIANT! Air Cooler in their System??? Are You happy with it?? Have you ever needed to slot in another lot of RAM? I have 32gb ram/1TB nvme.
This build is for PHOTOGRAPHY only..NO gaming.

If so, how on earth did you get this Air Cooler off to do it.?? Should I install my OS Windows 10 to test it out before deciding what I going to do. ????

Your answers will be Appreciated Lots.
THANK YOU..

It’s an excellent cooler, alternatively if you want something more compact the NH-U12A is brilliant and quite a lot smaller.

Thank You rare & Quartz...Is it easy to take off to fit more RAM if ever needed ?
I not worried about the blocked nvme as there are two others I can use if I ever decide to go that route...
Also wondering on whether to take out the two bottom 120mm fans and replace with thinner fans as they blocking a PCIe port.
The fans are Arctic P12 silent fans..These are the last questions for you before I install the Windows 10 OS tonight..
THANKS.

Sure, although you may be able to fit low profile RAM without removing the cooler. As for removing the fans, only do that when you need the slot. Most people never need more than the GPU slot.

OK I can see that it is easy enough to remove one fan. I do see there is No gap between the fan and RAM sticks, they are actually touching the RAM sticks.
All the new systems is very new to me, that was my reason for OCUK building it for me. Will check later tonight to see if it works and to test the temperature.
Have a Good evening & Take Care.

UPDATE---Win 10 pro installed. Photoshop/Lightroom and All the Drivers. Drivers took ages and as I only had the DVD (tower case has no Writers/readers) so had to download from sight then install. Not sure if I got them all but PC is Running Good and Temps are low. Nice and Quiet as well. I tried registering the MOBO on the MSI sight. I found the serial No. but I can't find the SKU number that msi is asking for. Without that I can't register my MOBO. Any Answers???

Qurtz--I got the box it was in and no SKU that I can fined or see. took me quite a while to find correct s/n number as i also got an oc sn number. it has a MB-36C-MS Whatever that is.. also these EAN/jan/upc but no sku. Very Strange is that

The front fan is easy to take of to fit new ram, if there is enough space in your case you can raise the front fan to fit taller RAM, https://youtu.be/emFN5KeGGnc?t=103

Hi ASMB--Front fan is already half inch hanging over the front and still resting on the RAM models.
That is what concerned me. Was going to send it all back and have a Liquid cooler instead so I can see All of Mobo and what is there.
Did not realize this Air Cooler + Fans was so LARGE.
Is going good at moment though I can hear the Fans going as Case is only 2ft away from my left year.
Thanks for the Help.

As above the NH-U12A is a good alternative if you want to change it. If you find the fans a bit loud is the silent mode cable fitted, also does your motherboard software have a one click silent mode, or allow you to adjust the cpu fan curve? You can normally adjust the fan curve in the bios as well

Good Afternoon ASMB---Unfortunately I do NOT have a Clue on how to adjust Fans on case or in Bios. Have had one look in that BIOS and it frightens me lol.
Don't want to mess around in there. The Biggest problem I have is that OCUK not given me the Book of instructions that we normally have with a new Mobo.
I have Four different books on each mobo I built and it was easy to follow by reading them...The little bits of paper I got with this lot I can't read properly because of tiny writing. Surely there must be a Book or instructions somewhere. NOT pdf. You can't read pdf when in BIOS.
I am using MSI Afterburner to look at speed of fans which is at between 57/58 at moment. Temp is 57c. GPU is 1920MHz, Mem is 4001MHz, Volt is saying 0mV. Core Voltage (mv) is blank. CLOCK- Core Clock MHz is +0, Memory Clock MHz is +0. I'm afraid to alter anything in case it mucks up the PC. I can't send a picture as OCUK do not let us post images straight from computer. Free Flickr is USELESS. I don't put these things on my Web site or in Zenfolio...Time OCUK changed it.
Anyway, Thanks for the Help.

Enjoy your computer, if you do ever decide to play around with software that should be available for your motherboard I would suggest checking out Youtube often somebody has uploaded something that you can find useful
