Hello guys,

I recently put a system together with the Noctua Nh-d15 and the Enthoo Pro.
The case comes with a fan power board that allows for 5 fan connections.

I currently have the 2 fans on the Noctua connected to a Y-splitter that goes into the CPU fan slot on the motherboard.

I wanted to connect the Y splitter cable to the fan module but after seeing this message on the manual I have second thoughts.

My question is.

Can I ignore the warning on the manual and connect the Y splitter (2 noctua cpu cooling fans) to the fan controller and subsequently the pin on the controller to the CPU fan slot.

If not what are my options to have all the fans in my case (currently 5 including 2 noctua cpu fans) connected to a PWM controller.

Thanks

I am fairly sure that you will be safe sticking the Y splitter on your fan power board.

The warning in the manual is about using the low noise adapter for 2 fans and I would guess it is because the adapter uses a resistor to slow the speeds and for 2 fans the current would be a lot higher and cause the resistor to get a lot hotter/run above spec.

D I understand you correctly?
You want to use the Enthoo Pro PWM fan hub to control your CPU fans?
If so, yes you can. Plug the PWM control lead from hub to motherboard PWM CPU fan headed. Plug one of the cooler fans to FAN 1 header on hub (this is the control header fro hub). Plug Sata power connector to fan hub and to PSU. Fans should than be controlled by PWM signal from CPU fan header and powered by PSU. Plug case fans into hub and they too will be controlled. ;)
