Hi guys I just dropped my noctua nh-d15 and I bend two heatsink to one side is it safe to straight it up or would I damage a cooler? Dont ask how. I was rebuilding my pc and placed on the table 1.3m high near the edge and my friend decided to have fun so he pushed me a little and I grabbed the nearest thing... (Im stupid as I should place it near the edge)

It's only aluminium I think, you should be good to straighten it up at least once. With that said, there really isn't much need to do so unless it's affecting fan mounting, it shouldn't effect cooling performance.

The heat sink fins are fine just the heat pipes from cpu base are bend a little bit so not sure if I unbend them if I can cause any damage as not sure if there is anything inside heat pipe as I heard some have gas/ liquid

The heatpipes are hollow and have a coolant on the inside that vapourises at the heatblock and travels up to the ends of the heatpipes for efficient heat transfer across the heatsink.

I do NOT recommend you try to bend them. If you try to bend them back you could kink the tubing resulting in reduced performance at the very least.

The real question is how bent are the pipes? If it is just a bit then you are find to leave them as they are...

This is what happen it bend roughy 10degrees to one side. The cpu mount and cpu block ( i think this is what it's called is fine. it landed on the side where there are cut outs for ram

I'm sorry but cant take a picture as Im at uni now

I bent my d14 a little bit somehow, the middle fan wouldn't go back in. I bent it back, its fine.

I dont really see what you have to loose by giving it a go?
