Hello all,

How big is the Noctua NH-U12F? How does it stay attached to the motherboard? From pictures I've seen it looks HUGE! How does it not snap the motherboard or pull the motherboard off the side of the case?

Is it really worth it to get a Core 2 Duo E6600 to 3.4GHz?

Thanks

I comes with a motherboard backplate and it's bolted tightly to it. That spreads out the weight.

As said above, it is secured very tightly by a backplate. I have one in my case and its excellent. Got my E6600 to 3.4Ghz easily, but due to summer temps coming I am currently running it at 3.2Ghz.

Its not actually THAT heavy.. and as said its secured very tightly and spreads the weight out. To be honest id say most of the large zalman heatsinks feel heavier than the u12F.
