Anyone tell me if the pad used on the 775 backing plate on these coolers is sticky or is it just held in place with the screws? Also, much difference between this cooler on a quad 2.4 @ 3ghz compared to an artic freezer?

Not sticky on mobo side, same as my Asus stock one, it has a gel/silicon gasket stuck to its own side to stop damage to the rear of mobo, it looks exactly like my Asus one in size but obv height is different for mounting heatsink.

Artic Freezers are good but only 90mm until 120mm extreme version arrives with 6 heatpipes, I have ram a customers PC with same CPU as mines with 90mm freezer and my PC idles and loads lower temps than his, fan is also near silent at full speed where as freezer one gets loud, I swapped fan as it too quiet and used the mobo to control a faster fan depending on temps

Bought the 92mm version, i assume theyre the same just with different sized fans? Didn't have enough on my card for the 120mm

Well not just fan the actual cooler is smaller also.
