Hi i have just switched over to NOD 32 AV to provide better protection after finding key loggers on my system.

When browsing however, web pages and general internet use is slower than normal when using previous AV packages.

Are there any settings i can alter to speed up web browsing?

When i installed kaspersky trial a few days back i had a similar issue, i guess kaspersky and nod just generally sit there and scan more than free AVs thats where the problem lies?.

Depends how it works. Comodo is free but it's av is stateful by default, as in it only scan a file if it's been modified since it was accessed last and it makes a huge difference, play with the settings. I assume both will be slow until you've done a full sweep.

Anyway. Two things. Shouldn't this be in the sticky? and why did you change for better protection? If your last av picked up a keylogger then it was doing it job :s

Avira didnt pick up the keylogger i only found it while searching through my WOW folders after reading a article on where the keylogger saves itself.

You've noticed nod32 on an i7 setup? Doesnt sound right to me, my browsing is no different with AV on or off and my system isnt anywhere near as powerful as yours.
