How do you get Nod to automatically scan your downloads?

Ive got real-time file system protection, document, email and web protection all enabled. Would I need to change anything?

Also how do you add a program to the ignore list?

The real time file system protection should be set to Scan on file creation, which I assume makes NOD32 scan any new files so when you download one that should happen automatically.

As for ignoring a program you need to be in the setup tree and head into the Exclusions branch which is second from bottom in the Antivirus and antispyware section. :)

Ok thanks, to exclude a program would I to select the .exe rather than the folder and its contents?

I would. If you excluded an entire folder to exclude just a program the weak link in the chain would be non-exe files in the folder(s) not getting scanned. I suppose, depending on your reason for wanting to exclude programs, that some "programs" you want to block would also need the parent folder excluded as well. :)
