Just wondering if it's worth upgrading to NOD32 3? (currently on 2.7)

Are they still sticking on the light on resources, nice and quick road or are they getting heavier like most other anti viruses seem to do?

[Edit]
What's their Smart Security package like? Nice & light... or is it best to stick with their Anti virus + Comodo?

Craig.

Its still very light on resources.
Does the job well and your hard pressed to know its there.

Their smart security package is fine too though I have just stuck with the av side of Nod32 with Vista's firewall and router.
Put on the trial of either one and see how it goes.

Might just upgrade to NOD32 3 (anti virus) and stick with Comodo then as I haven't had any problems with the combination.

Not really heard much about the Eset firewall that's in the security suite thing, I'm just wondering if in the end I'd use less resources using Eset Security Suite, or NOD32 Anti virus + Comodo.

The firewall in Security Suite has had some below average reviews from what I read a while back.

Another weird thing about the firewall is that if you stick in Auto mode you get no prompts whatsoever and it's not too clear what it does or how it auto accepts things. The other problem I've had with the firewall running in auto mode is that it seems to only allow 30 odd connections for torrent client. Set it to manual and when prompt to allow/deny the app the client then instantly can connect to more clients.

Meh, if that's the case I'll stick with Comodo + NOD32 Anti virus then, thanks :)

I use NOD32 v3... its better for FAH...

Stelly

I assume that's because NOD32 v3 uses even fewer resources over 2.7?

iv stuck with 2.7, for some reason with 3, if i downloading a torrent, it makes a mess of my ability to surf the web at the same time, its very strange, IE or firefox just wont connect, go back to 2.7 and its fine.

Been using v3 since it first came out with Vista x64, very low in resources and does the job perfect. I havent upgraded to the full security suite but nod32 does the job well for viruses and spyware.

That's just normal for me :p

512Kbps internet (which is actually connect at 480Kbps at the moment for some reason) & hundreds of connections from a torrent is not a good idea while trying to browse the internet

NOD32 v3 is still pretty darned good. :) See no reason to stay with NOD32 v2 and I've little knowledge about the Smart Security suite. NOD32 v3 + Comodo = WIN. :p
