NOD32 or ESET Smart Security

Ok, just built my new system (in sig) and its time to install some anti-virus software, i'm ditching Norton Internet Security that i've been using for ages as its a pain in the ass...

Heard good things about NOD32, and dont mind paying the small fee, but would i be better spending more on the ESET Smart Security, or just the plain version of NOD32?

Just wondering if Smart Security is really required, will it bloat out NOD32... Will NOD32 and Windows Firewall be sufficient... Currently running XP+SP3...

Any help much appreciated...

I've always preferred the standard NOD32 Anti-virus v2.7

NOD32 straight I'd say. Are you behind a hardware firewall? Wouldn't really need a software firewall then.

On ESET's website they state NOD32 is version 3.0... Why's v2.7 better, and where do you get that version?

I switched from NOD32 to ESS but I'll not bother renewing the license next year and simply go back to the AV alone.

i've had nod32 + sygate firewall (before norton took it over) for years - best combo imo xD

Personally I don't. I have 3.0.657 on my PC and it works just fine.
