nod32 or kaspersky?

I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 6 (suite) which has an antivirus component, must say very pleased with it.

Would also add that those people using NOD32 will say that they find it very good as well, so I doubt if there is any difference as regards one being better than the other. :)

hi

just found the kaspersky e-store , if i did get the download version should i choose the backup cd option as well? .it says they send you cd in the post of your product for about an extra £5?

cheers

yeah if you a firewall as well go for Kaspersky :)

I use Nod32 with the Windows XP firewall. I'm using a router with an inbuilt firewall as well so there's really no need for another software one.

Nod32 is brilliant. It's not as easy to use as some more basic packages out there, but damn it's good. It uses so little resources as well. Really can't fault it.

thanks everyone for the help

even though a lot of people have said nod32, i think i will go for the kaspersky internet 6 suite which still has good reviews .

as long as its better than norton suite im happy :)

cheers

Do you have a router with a built-in firewall?
If not, use a proper software firewall like Comodo, kerio or Zonealarm.

Do you connect to the internet through a router? If so it might have an inbuilt firewall. In which case you'll be fine with just the XP one on top.

To stop banners and popups online: http://en.www.mozilla.com/en/firefox/

If you're getting popups on your desktop then you've got spyware/adware.

in my windows security it says my firewall is norton??? (im using comodo)

and it says ive got more than one antivirus???

even know i removed norton using nortons removal tool

i use NOD, but i read in a magazine recently that the latest Kaspersky was the one to go for. Can't remember of the top of my head all the reasons why, but i remember they mentioned it detected and resolved a higher percentage of virus.

kaspersky 100percent for me. Its protection is usually regarded as superior to NOD32 (from reviews I read, willing to be proven wrong.) I used NOD32 during a trial and found its interface confusing and a lot more intrusive than kaspersky (displaying NOD32 start up logo as soon as you log in)
