NOD32 v5 launched

Well i updated to V5 and now iTunes freezes when i connect my iPhone 4. uninstalled V5 and its fine again.

Tried a fresh install removing all traces of ESET SS, and all settings, still no dice.

Am running the full Smart Security Suite, installed to my C Drive. As noticed above, always have had my AV on the SSD boot drive.

Can i DL V4 from anywhere? If not then it looks like i cant use this anymore. MSE it is then.... Lucky my sub to Eset runs out in October.

Anyone else have this?

Same here, issues with V5 and logging on with Win 7 on any drive I have, tried reinstalling to C still no luck so dropped down to MSE for now.

If you want to stick with V4 for the link is here :)

http://go.eset.com/us/download then under previous versions.

V4 works fine for me but V5 constantly keeps the machine at the Welcome screen on Win 7 and won't go any further.

Ah yes, i found it. Ta. :)

But, i'm running MSE now (with Windows firewall) and i have noticed a speed difference with using my pc/browsing etc. (Placebo?) So i'm gonna stick with it for a bit, see how it goes.

Oh yeah, and i can sync my iP4 again. :D

Installed the Smart Security at work, so far so good apart from it keep saying that Google DNS servers are trying to poison my DNS cache. Got annoying as it did it every few minutes, so had to turn it off. Apart from that.. All is well!

I seem to get pestered by it a lot saying it requires my attention and when I click on it, everything seems normal. Stupid program.

If it's orange, then it could be that you have Windows updates available.

Nope, green all across the board. It did keep doing it because Gamer Mode activated when I was watching vids in full-screen but it just seems to like doing it willy nilly now. :)

Maybe you're not showing it enough attention, so it has to get it by screaming that something is wrong :p

Which version are you using, Smart Security or the AV?

Just the normal AV, v 5.0.94.0.

It seems only to do it on startup now and then Windows Update will run and say to it there is nothing to download and then it will shut up. Anyway, a minor niggle. I just wondered if it was a common occurrence with ye lot on here.

If you got to settings and then tools, you can stop it from notifying you about system updates
