Is it worth even considering this over Kaspersky?

I've had Kaspersky for quite a while and was wondering if it was worth it.

Personally, I much prefer it to kaspersky, it seems lighter and more efficient, though it's detection rate is not as good. I've never had a problem with that though, just being sensible etc. will see you through.

Updates are almost daily sometimes, depends what's out there.

My advice, try it, see how you find it.

I agree^, it does seem so much lighter, boots quick, hassle free etc. It doesn't always pick things up, but tbh if your fairly good with PCs, know what files you should and shouldn't download, there is no reason why you should be getting viruses, and if your like me and format every month or so then theres no problem

A few weeks ago, I was going to try out the Kaspersky trial (on my other PC) but was alarmed when it said that I should uninstall SpyBot as it was an incompatible program :eek:

I decided to try out Avast instead.

Anyway, this is the second year that I've been using NOD32 and I'm pleased with it as it is so light on resources and most of the time you wouldn't know it was there.

Not tried Kaspersky, but can confidently attest to NOD32's greatness. Very low footprint and very unintrusive. Cost me £25 for two licenses last year, so I thought why not?

Been using Kaspersky Internet security for the past few months and found it to be fairly good.
Bought the 3 user license from here: Clicky

I use Kaspersky Internet Security, was free with a Barclays account so thought why not. Bit clunky and intrusive to start with, but it gets easier once you know how it analyses installs etc.

So you either you should not have needed any anti-virus, or it has not picked up the multitude of infections your computer has

i liked Kaspersky 07 but hated the latest version , so i moved to nod32(64 bit version) and its great
it just gets on with its job and very rarely bothers you unless it really needs too
