Yup I can recommend. I had to lower my overclock from 4.4 to 4Ghz. Highest temps on one core goes to 79C when running an AVX enabled stress test, 69C when not running AVX. Gaming temps are less. It's a tight fit but it went in my PC next to my graphics card with about 4mm to spare . You will also need to remove all the other sources of noise from your PC to get the benefit, cpu fan is just one more thing that creates noise. Mine gets cooled from my case fans so can't comment on proper 'no fans' testing. May move to FT05 case with 2 case fans in the future, remove mechanical HDs, new graphic card that doesn't spin fan at idle, etc.
They still need case airflow. A top tier cooler with fans at 300-600rpm will do a much better job and it's noise level will be less than room's background noise level .. and cost much less as well.
