noise on my line

ok, ive noticed that there is a lot of noise on my line

when my router goes into sync.

i can hear modem tones like 56k but a lot higher pitched and a wooshing noise

and tbh its quite loud and drowns out the quality of the phone call

is this a fault, as i never had it with my old line

I'm having the exact same thing - I can only hope it's resolvable. I've never been on ADSL before - always Telewest, but I've now moved into a non-cabled area. I've tried 4 filters and have even now installed a filtered faceplate, but no joy.

Let me know if you get it sorted...

yeah ive tried 2 routers 4 filters and filterd face plate and ive tried doubling the filters up

and a usb modem all doing the same and its really anoying

Sounds exactly like mine. Does making phone calls kill the net connection repeatedly?

doesnt kill the con i dont think but i get a mass of errors on the line when calls are made and recived

Get BT to fix it, i had the same problem with my line in my room and i had bt come out and fix it, still has a bit of noise but not as much as before. Tends to happen when its bad weather outside i find.

yeah it gets worse for me when bad weather is going on etc

but i cant report nothing yet as im not even ment to be enabled yet

ive gota wait untill my activation date has past then report it
