Hi,

I spent today marshalling the WRC and obviously being a marshal I took no photos. However the photos I did not get were taken at ISO 1600 and are noisy as hell - whats the best software these days for it? I only got about 3 photos due to the weather etc but I want to do them some justice!

desaturating the colours of the noise will reduce their appearance.

for example, at 1600, my 400D gives me little red pixels every now and then, but when using 1600 there isn't much red in the pic, so i can desaturate red and they go away!

Neatimage isn't a bad freebie either.

Slightly softens the image and only outputs in JPEG unless you purchase the full version but has done a decent job rescuing ISO1600 & 3200 images.
