Hi all,

I recently upgraded from a NVidia 3060GTX to a "Gigabyte Radeon RX 9060 XT Gaming OC 16GB" Purchased recently from here. This on the whole gives me much better performance in games, and am completely satisfied with it's graphics....

However it is making a ticking noise, the cloest thing it sounds like is an old clockwork clock ticking. It does stop sometimes, but doesn't seem to be determined by how loaded the card is as it's doing it now at 9% load, but was also doing it when the card was at 100% load under GTA V enhanced.

Any idea what is causing this or if the card is faulty and I should RMA it?

No deffo not the fans, as it does it even with the fans stopped, it literally sounds like a clockwork clock tick-tock type of sound about once per second.

The ticking noise is def coming from the GPU and does it when the fans are off?

You able to try the system without the GPU in it for a while to test, also have you checked the power supply is not making the noise.
 
Not to be rude, or assume you don't know, but are you sure that it's not coil-wine? It might be worth checking out some YT videos of what it sounds like, if you've not witnessed it before?
