I didn't know if to post this here or in another section.

Basically, I've had my PC since around November, and when I first built it, it cut out a lot and froze. Although through some playing around I discovered that it did this because:
a) The CPU was too hot
b) I don't have a large enough PSU so not enough power

So, as I don't have much money the PSU will have to wait until summer or something but I went and bought myself a Akasa Blue-LED light as a temporary solution to the overheating. I found an 8-10oC drop in case temperature and the freezing happens very rarely now and I think a better PSU will fix this.
Anyway, to cut a long story short: The fan I bought is sitting at the back of my case, sucking air in through a mesh grill. Because of this it has a slightly high-pitched noise which has begun to annoy me several months later. I was wondering if there is anyway to help reduce the noise, short of removing the mesh (that would be too much effort).

Any ideas/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
