Hi All.

Ive recently build a system in a Meshlicious case.

All is working well, but when i boot the system, It makes a slurping noise for a minute or two, then it stops.

The pump is below the top of the radiator, Though there was a short time, (weeks maybe with occasional usage) where it was border line. and ive raised the radiator up now.

Ive had to fit the Pump with the pipes at the bottom, because the VRM heatsink is in the way on the left.

Is this normal? or indicative of a problem?

Its all working well, and under normal use, i dont see much above 60 degrees on the CPU (10600K).

Running prime 95, smallest FFTs, the highest temp across all cores i saw was 74°C after 10 mins or so.

If it's only a noise made at the start when powering on then I wouldn't worry about it.

Likely to be trapped air or a noise based on the position of the pump (pipes facing down) causing it as the pump is powered on and the liquid moves through the system.

I'd be more concerned if it was a constant noise.

Air stuck in your CPU block / pump due to the way you've mounted it. For testing tip your case up so the pipes are to the right and power it up and see if it makes the same noise.

Good thinking. That will then determine whether the noise is caused by the orientation of the pump etc

Thanks, i'll try that. It might fit with the pipes to the right, near the RAM, but then i'm not sure i'd be able to route the pipes in a way that works with the case.

Every aio cooler I've owned has made a noise at startup. A bit of trapped air in the pump. The loop needs a small amount of air in it to allow for expansion. I wouldn't worry about it.
