Hi all,
I took delivery of a Hisense 49" M3000 tv on Saturday, lovely TV for the money, can't complain about the image on it.
However, there's some dinks and scratches on the screen, barely visible apart from 1 but the big issue is that it makes a tap tap tap noise, imagine and angry cricket kind of sound.
After some tinkering, it's to do with the backlight. Turn if down to 0 and it goes, at 10 you get a buzzing, by 20 you've got a low click by 100 you've got very angry crickets having sex.
Ao have advised I contact Hisense about the issue, but it's a TV, i'm not an electrical engineer so what can I actually do other than have a dark TV. They are asking for photos of the damage to the screen to see what I we can do about that. But, anyone any experience with the backlight issue?
Is it an easy fix? can it be fixed or is it a definite sign of an issue?
