Noisy Case Fan

I have just overclocked my cpu to 360 FSB with 9 multiplier. Now my case fan sounds like a jumbo jet.

The cpu temps are very low (34 C on idle), so I think this fan speed is excessive.

Is there a reason the system has set the fan this fast? How do I change the settings?

Is it a case fan, or the cpu fan? You said case fan, but I think you mean cpu fan.

It seems to be the intake case fans.

It depends what the fans are plugged into, but on a recent build I did, the fans were going nuts, untill I found a BIOS option where the 'target temp' was something daft like 20 deg C, and minumim fan speed was set to 50% or something.

I reset the min speed to 12% and set the target temp to 50 deg c, that seemed to fix it.

Maybe you have a simmilar BIOS option? this was an MSI board though.
