The fan has got real noisy on a friends SG33
Its only running a E2140@stock circa 23c idle

Should I replace it with another 4pin PWM fan?
Or do you think I would do better just getting a new CPU cooler?

Was thinking the AC Freezer 7 Pro if it will fit. Need to check the height out for mounting!
Or the AC Alpine 7 Pro. Anyone any ideas?

Cheers guys

If it's not overheating then i'd just replace the fan.

Also it's illegal in some parts to buy an E2140 and not clock it! :p

If you go for another cooler, you might well find it a headache getting it to fit. I don't think an ACF7 would go in my V350 and the Shuttles are smaller than that, so I don't hold out much hope.

Does it just need a good clean, try that first. I bought a replacement fan for mine to see if I could lower temps or make less noise, fit in fine but didn't work. 5 degrees higher temps and noisier.

It was originally built using AS5 paste, so its not that!
The AFP7 wont fit! its in bits and no chance gonna get that in!
There is hardly any dust inside it so it does not need a clean.

Wondering if one of those Zalman round coolers will fit now!! Or if I can get a 92mm->120mm shroud to fit a bigger fan on it

All the small cpu coolers are push pin fitting, which I need screw due to the mobo!

Thinking I might get a zalman flower and cut one side down to fit it. Then fit a silent 92mm case fan on the back. That should do it!

Just swap out the fan with something else, Never been a fan of the stock shuttle cooling fan but others work a treat.
