Noisy fans

Just bought a new set of parts for a friend and I've put it all together in an Antec 300.

The fans I bought are in the front of the case but are much noiser than I expected. Can these be controlled using the 3 -> 4 pin adapter that come with them assuming you plug the 3pin end into a fan socket on the motherboard?

If not, how can I get them quieter?

Only 2 but they're located in the front of the system as intakes. I thought of getting that but if I can control them using software and interacting with the motherboard, that'd be even better.

I belive speedfan works if their plugged into the mobo, but i haven't used it.

I have 5 of those fans and on 100% they are deffo noticable

I have set them to 70% in my motherboards bios using Asus Qfan which has made them much quieter.
