We have a basic HP laptop (for children's school homework/online gaming!) which is now a year on and the internal fan is getting noisy. We bought an Air Duster Can but there's no where to put it to clear the airways. Can anyone please advise?

You're probably going to need to open it up to clear the internals to be honest. Laptops are generally noisy beasts anyway.

Personally I prefer using a regular vacuum with a brush attachment help dislodge the fluff and dust buildup. An air cam is fine but can just move the dust and detritus further into the machine.

Might even help to open it and reapply the thermal paste, depending on how much effort you want to go to. The stock stuff is usually not very good.

On mine you use the battery removal slider buttons. The first slide releases the battery. The second slide pops the back cover.
