Noisy Obsidian 650D

Well my 650D just arrived and I can't find any kind of fan/controller fix kit inside it/the box. Can anyone who has this case tell me if they received the fix kit with their case? and if so, where was it placed.

Cheers,

EDIT: my model is CC650DW-1

Perhaps this is a new version with it fixed already? Just want to be sure before I install everything, fire it up and discover I need to pull it apart again to fix it.

cheers!

Yes that's the new version with the mod pre-fitted.

Just to add to this thead. I received my 650D yesturday and got it up and running perfectly, no buzzing from the front for me. Unless I remove the dust filter.

Overall very happy with the case. Looks good, and plenty of space to work in. I really need to get a modual PSU though, cable routing my old 650W PSU was a pain and still leaves a slight bulge in the side.

Got mine today, havn't had time to build it yet, but wow it does look nice, really happy and it hasnt got anything init yet :)
Looks like loads more room to work in side with compared to my antec 900, which is main reason for getting it

The main thing I noticed when using this case compared to all others I have had is the superb ease of use. It was so much easier to install components and then to go back and do some more tinkering. There just seems to be so much more space!

it is huge on the inside, loads of room to work in, only bad thing is the space behind the mb tray isnt as wide as it could be,

Does make MB look rather small in there

Sorry iv not been about recently.
I have cut out the front grill, taken the top fan out and installed a fan controller.
Strange thing is that when I run the 200mm fans through the controller I get a very strange buzzing sound from the centre of the fans, sounds electrical.
When Im just surfing I turn the front fan off and turn down the back 120, near silent running and my CPU is at 35c and mobo about 35c
When gaming I turn all up high and the CPU never gets over 40c and the mobo stays bellow 35c. Im very happy with this, although im going to replace the front fan with a Coolermaster megaflow.

hahahah nice , iam glad mines not the only 1 thats looks like this :P

dunno why they couldnt of gave a little more room on the back, as there is about 1 inch clearance from side panel to HDD bays, and 2 inch gap to PSU.

Yep the back area has naff-all space... this is one of the main drawbacks of this case. That and the lack of wheels. I personally love that most lian-li cases have wheels. Makes shifting the thing around so much easier. Apart from those things, flawless.

Wheels would be cool. But for me they would have to be concealed somehow within the feet.

One of the rubber feet did fall off due to me moving it across the carpet.

My top fan has started making noise. I have it on the lowest speed on the controller. It looks like it is getting a bit of a wobble on. The rest of the machine is so quiet that even the slightest noises are quite noticeable. :(

Put the fans up to full speed on the controller and the wobble scratch noise has slowly dissipated on the top fan... time to turn it back down again..
