Noisy PC not sure if its the fans or the fan controller?

On my previous PC i used a combination of various Noctua fans and a NZXT Sentry fan controller. All the fans where set to around 1000rpm via the fan controller and the noise from the PC was almost inaudible.

My new build is using a combination of Cryorig fans 3 x performance and 3 x balance connected to the motherboard and using smart fan 5 for control.

The temps are the same as the Noctua's i was using before but it sounds like i have a case full of angry wasps! its a high pitched ZZZZZZZ tone!

It could be that the Cryorig fans are just cheap rubbish fans compared to the Noctua's (They where half the price so i guess you get what you pay for!) but i suspect that SMART fan 5 is also to blame. Regardless of which settings i use in the bios (PWM or manually setting the RPM/Curve) I'm unable to get any of the fans to hold a constant RPM so the constant ramping up/slowing down also adds to the noise! I have disabled the AMD quiet and cool function and this actually helped with the noise but its still poor.

Is there anything else i can try to reduce the noise? Foolishly i don't have the Noctua's or fan controller anymore to simply swap them out!

I'm using AMD Ryzen 1700x and AX370 gaming K7 Mobo

While Cryorig fans are not bad I don't find their sound profile to be at all pleasant to my ears .. but then I prefer Thermalright TY-14x series fans' sound profile to Noctua A14/A15 series fans too. ;

Try slowing them down 200-400rpm and see if they sound better while still keeping things cool.;)
