Hi,

I ordered a pre-built PC from OCuk in 2013 and have been upgrading it bit by bit every year.

I have just got a few newer games such as RDR2 and it runs fine but the fans become so noisy. These are my specs:

Corsair 2013 Edition Gamer Series GS 600W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
HIS HD 7950 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (Upgraded to an PowerColor Radeon RX 580 Red Dragon V2 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card)
TeamGroup Elite 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz (Put in another 2 4GB sticks of the same RAM making it 16GB)
Asus P8Z77-V LX Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom CPU Cooler (Socket 775 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2)
Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) HDD (Put in an MX500 SSD and a few more HDDs)
Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail
NZXT Phantom 410 Enthusiast Midi Tower Case - Gun Metal

I clean the fans and case regularly.

I can only think of maybe upgrading my CPU cooler. Do you have any recommendations for £60ish?

Thanks,
Matthew

Thanks for the replies. I took off my cpu cooler recently to upgrade the RAM. The RAM is underneath which is awkward. I replaced the thermal paste then.

It's your GPU.

The Red Dragon RX580 is very noisy at stock, look at undervolting it and setting a custom fan profile.

Yes, I've changed the fan settings on MSI Afterburner. The fans were very quiet after this but I reset this because I was worried that 74 degrees+ may need the fans on 100%.
