Am on O2 LLU
Today we've been noticing that the phone is quite noisy... changed microfilters and it's still noisy. BT Quietline test is noisy.
The noise disappears when microfilters are removed and the phone is plugged directly into the line.
So out of interest I had a look at the connection data.
Below is a "normal" day (found an old screenshot):
Here's today (someone was on the phone at the time):
The down SNR kept changing between 4.0-6.5.
After they'd finished the phonecall I noticed the stats change to:
So... the phone is noisy when the broadband is plugged in, and the broadband stats are worse when the phone is in a call.
Out of curiosity I then picked up the phone and kept it on a dial tone (lasts about 20secs before it says "Please hang up and try again etc") and whilst on a dial tone the stats dived to:
and then it lost the connection.
Sooo I'm confused (not hard!)...... anyone got any ideas / fixes / more investigations?
