Hello guys,

Few weeks ago i've put together a custom WC setup.Everything worked fine untill i 've changed m cooland.WHile i was doing that the pump was working about 10 sec without liquid,it was sucking air only.Since then is very noisy, the noisest thing in my loop.Is there any way to repair that?Or i have to buy a new pump?

Could be air stuck in it or could be ruined. Which pump is it? I know a lot of the laing pumps say never run the pump without water. I only presume that the the pump uses the water for something like lubrication or motor cooling. I don't know though as never taken one apart.

I am using Ek DCp 4.0 pump.Since this happened i've changed coolant twice, the loop is bleed properly.

If you are 100% certain that its bled then the pump is knackered or on its way out. I have accidentally run my current Laing D5 dry on occasion and its absolutely fine, then again I once killed a Laing DDC by not priming it properly. It worked for a while but was very noisy then stopped working altogether a few weeks later.

Invest in a Laing D5 - best pump I've used by some distance.

And after couple of days the pump is dead.I've just purchased Laind DCC 1Rt+.But with stock top, would anyone recommend any aftermarket top for that pump?
