I had enough of my X1900XT's stock cooler! It kept it idle at around 55 C and rose to 90 or so on load!! It was hellishly noisy too
I bought the fatality version of the Zalman VF-900 today (the FC-Zv9) and fitted it with Arctic silver.

On full speed it noisy!! But I have it plugged into my fan controller and running at half speed. It's now quieter than the stock cooler (comparing to stock running in windows) and stays the same volume/pitch all the time!
Idling temps show 36 C in ATI panel now and load of 46. Sooo happy with it!
Decided to get the fatal1ty version (despite thinking that wendel character looks like a smug ****) as the fan can spin higher if needed and it comes with red heatsinks for the ram which match the card. It also comes with a red LED on the fan
But luckily I cant see it outside the case as I hate LEDs on things!!
I can actually hear myself think now
BTW If you do get one, make sure you use the included fan mate controller or attach to a fan controller as its LOUD on full blast!!
